2011-03-27, “without meat no success”
This is the title of an article in the
St. Galler Tagblatt, and it refers to a hotel in Kreuzlingen, a municipality near Lake Constance, Switzerland, which
Special about the hotel was, that it was strictly vegan.
One indicator, that the vegan cuisine did not make many friends in the Thurgau2 was, that opening hours were reduced to the weekends after some time after the hotel opened. The people in charge refused to acknowledge failure back then.
The actual reasons for the close-down of the hotel can only be speculated about, for the owners refuse any comment on the matter.
Seems that veganism is not particularly popular after all.
