2011-02-27, “VeggieWorld” in Germany

Two weeks ago the Link: VeggieWorld took place in Wiesbaden, Germany, a vegetarian/vegan fair, with an awful lot of visitors―because it was bundled with another one, the “Paracelsus-Messe”,1 which was a kind of a health/esoteric thing, which actually got nearly run over by people, still, the veggies celebrated the size of the crowd being a big success for their own agenda.

But that′s not where the veggie success-story ends, there was also a panel discussion where even an “antivegan” was invited―the creator of Link: antiveganer.de, a personal homepage which got the “antivegan” in the title moreless by chance, which of course also means that he by far had not the knowledge about the matter like the creators/participants of the “real” antivegan websites antivegan.info and antiveganer.org―which is of no importance anyway, because they actually did not discuss with him anyway, he was sidelined in the discussion and only too often victim of boos from the audience, without much interference from the moderator.

With other words, it was one of the usual veggie events, ignored by the masses, and with no sign of self-criticism at all. With one word:

Pathetic.
