2010-01-31, VgT vs Kleiderbauer
You may have heard about some animal rights “activists” who were on remand for about 100 days some time ago regarding terrorist attacks against members of the Austrian corporation
Kleiderbauer, a clothing company with a number of stores all over the country; most of the persons who were on remand are high ranking members of the
VgT-Austria, a resident animal rights organisation.
Little known to the outside world is the fact that they not only support terror in one way or the other (the VgT′s chairman for instance once said attacks with butyric acid were “not even real damage”), but of course in the first place do a lot of stuff like campaigning, demos, et cetera.
One of these campains is to stand in front of Vienna′s main Kleiderbauer shop each saturday, with their flyers and everything, telling how evil™ fur is, because of certain rights granted in our democracy, there are allowed to do that, altough as far as I know they are not allowed to place themselves directly in front of the shop any longer, and were forced to move aside a bit. However, they are still there, each saturday, with their flyers and everything, running their campaign against a company who dares to sell
And nobody gives a damn.
That′s the sad truth about this campaign, people lost interest. Pedestrians are passing by, the customers and salespeople from Kleiderbauer do not care, and the animal rights looneys are standing there each and every saturday, feeling morally superior, without realizing how pathetic they are.
So if you should be from anywhere else in the world, and have heard about the Austrian animal rights movement, be assured: They are considered a nuisance, some even consider them dangerous, but they enjoy no support by the Austrian people.
But, on the other hand
