2009-10-31, yes, Hitler was a vegetarian. Definetely.
Reviewing my videos, I figured that one topic that apperantly has caused maybe more discussions than others was, if Hitler was a vegetarian or not.
Of course, veggies claim he was not, while the rest of the world
Besides vegan (or vegetarian, respectively) websites, there is no evidence that he ever ate things like sausages or liver from the time he chose to be vegetarian, and the claim about the filled squabs comes from a cooking book from 1964 written by a Mrs. Dione Lucas, who wrote, that it was one of Hitler′s favourite dishes. No other source for this claim could be found.
On the other hand, we have countless contemporary eyewitnesses, including, but not limited to his personal secretary Traudl Junge and his personal physician Dr. Theo Morell. Accordingly, Ian Kershaw, Hitler′s official biographer, states that he is a vegetarian.
I do not quite understand why veggies are so upset about this, for vegetarianism or even veganism is a matter of taste, and nothing else.
But if on the other hand you think that vegetarianism/veganism is part of a superior worldview, of course Hitler being a vegetarian is something that must be quite unpleasant, because it may be a slight hint to the fact that not eating meat is in no way superior to doing so, and that just keeping to the vegetables doesn′t make you a better person.
